Is Your Faith Dead?

JAMES 2

1. Faith alone does not profit ^{_{(vs. 14)}}
   • What will help most in your Christian life, Faith or works?
   • Christians will be judged according to their works at the judgment seat of Christ
   • Faith alone in Christ gets you into heaven. Works earn you reward in heaven
2. Faith without works is useless ^{_{(vv. 15-17)}}
   • The word dead means useless, ineffective, and unprofitable. It never in the Greek, Hebrew, or English means non-existent
   • When we stand as Christians before the judgment seat of Christ, Christ will look at our works, not our faith. Faith is dead useless in that day
3. The objection between faith and works ^{_{(vv. 18-19)}}
4. Works perfect our faith ^{_{(vv. 20-26)}}
   • Justification does not mean to get eternal life. It means to declare righteous
   • Two types of justification
     • through faith alone in the sight of God
     • through works in the sight of men
   • Justification in the sight of God eventually leads to justification in the sight of men
